Rockstar has finally given the most awaited update on GTA 6, and it has the fans going berserk. Take-Two announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will come out around fall 2025. The makers are positively moving forward, hoping they will “deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience.”
Earlier, we have been getting info from tipsters like Grand Theft Auto 6 New features, leaked GTA 6 Official Trailer. In another leak, a cleaner from Rockstar Office claimed that the game will be released in September 2025. But, since then, there have been significant developments in the highly anticipated GTA 6 game. Find out everything about them here.
Date Estimate of GTA 6
Rockstar Games announced on Thursday, May 16, that GTA 6 will be released in the fall of 2025.
This announcement came after Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, disclosed a financial loss of $2.9 billion in the last quarter.
The company also announced that GTA V has sold 200 million copies since its 2013 release. Thus, making it the second bestselling game of all time, surpassed only by Minecraft, which has sold over 300 million copies.
“We do feel highly confident that we’ll deliver [Grand Theft Auto 6] in the fall of 2025,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told IGN in an interview when asked about potential delays for GTA VI.
The date estimate was confirmed by the CEO despite fans believing that the game’s release could be pushed forward to 2026.
A Kotaku report from late last year suggested that the game was initially aimed for an early 2025 release, but due to development issues “falling behind,” it might face delays to late 2025 or even 2026. Assuming the report’s accuracy, it appears that developer Rockstar has opted for a middle ground that still aligns with the 2025 timeframe announced in the game’s debut trailer.
Zelnick also added the following
“As we enter Fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we anticipate delivering Net Bookings of $5.55 to $5.65 billion. We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase.”
Although Rockstar hasn’t provided details of expectations, they released a wonderful trailer that broke the internet, and there will be more news from Rockstar soon.

Minimum Requirements:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660

- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER
- RAM: 16GB
These recommended specs should provide a smoother gameplay experience and better graphical quality, more closely resembling what’s showcased in official trailers and leaks.

For laptops, you’ll need hardware comparable to desktop specifications, but you may want to consider a good cooling solution, especially if playing at the highest settings.
It’s important to note that these are predictions based on available information and analysis, as Rockstar has not officially confirmed the PC requirements for GTA 6.
These are only predictions, there is a higher chance that GTA 6 game requirements will be more than this.

Given its high-quality graphics and immersive gameplay, the price of GTA 6 in a standard edition could range between $70 and $80.
It’s worth noting that GTA 5 was initially released for $59.99 on PS3 and PS4 consoles.
However, Rockstar Games has not officially announced any details regarding the pricing of its upcoming title.
GTA 6 Game Storyline
In September 2022, a hacker leaked 90 videos and screenshots of GTA 6. Although the footage and screenshots were from early development, they strongly suggested that the game would be set in Vice City.
Moreover, GTA 6 is expected to feature an original story. It is now confirmed that it will be set in an expanded version of the location previously seen in 2002’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Much of the GTA 6 trailer showcased a Latin American woman named Lucia and a man named Jason.
According to a source familiar with the game’s development, the latest installment is rumored to be inspired by the real-life criminals Bonnie and Clyde.
Take-Two’s CEO and chairman seemed very confident about GTA 6, saying
“Be the most creative, be the most innovative, be the most efficient… undoubtedly a title like Grand Theft Auto will always be highly profitable.”
By the looks of it, GTA 6 has created a substantial hype.
