We anticipate getting the official release date for GTA 6 during Take-Two’s final quarter earnings call on May 16, 2024. This call will shed light on the publisher’s plans for the next fiscal year, including whether GTA 6 will hit the shelves before or after April 2025.
Although the first GTA 6 trailer confirms a 2025 release year, a subsequent press release from Rockstar PR clarifies that this date applies specifically to console releases.
Unfortunately, a recent report by Kotaku suggested potential delays due to production setbacks. However, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier dismissed these concerns as exaggerated.
According to Kotaku’s source, a delay to 2026 is a backup plan, with a fall 2025 launch seeming more likely.
On the other hand, Schreier notes that delays are common in the gaming industry, so we’ll hopefully receive more updates soon.
