The Wheel of Time Season 3: Renewal Announcement
Prime Video renewed The Wheel of Time Season 3 in July 2022, a year before the premiere of Season 2. During Comic-Con, showrunner Rafe Judkins shared the exciting update with fans.
Judkins said, “I’m so thrilled that we’ll be making a third season of The Wheel of Time. The Shadow Rising has always been my favorite book in the series, so being able to bring it to television and introduce new audiences to the stories that made me fall in love with these books in the first place is such an honor and something I’ve been working toward since I first pitched the show years and years ago.”
While the renewal is confirmed, additional information regarding the release date is still needed. The much-anticipated Wheel of Time season 3 won’t hit Prime Video in 2024.
In late 2023, WoTSeries reported that filming wrapped in the Czech Republic for season 3 during the fall of the same year. Most of the show is filmed in the Czech Republic and other European locations, notably housing sets like the Two Rivers and the White Tower, which are confirmed to appear in the upcoming third season.
Cast and crew members, including Alexandre Willaume, celebrated the conclusion of filming by sharing photos on social media.

Potential New Cast Members Teased for Season 3
In an interview with TheWrap, Rosamund Pike hinted that fans can expect a bunch of new characters in season 3 of The Wheel of Time. This means the series’ cast is getting even bigger and more exciting!
She stated, “Actors are really flocking to come and be guest stars on our show. They know that we have a show with diversity at its core, where people are embraced to celebrate powerful figures in all their dimensions and we’ve got fantastic actresses of all ages coming to do amazing work on our show, and actors too. It is very exciting that people now know that this is a home that they can have for a few months, that they can come and do exciting work and play really unforgettable characters, and you’ll get a glimpse of some of them in Season 2 and way more in Season 3.”
