PSVR 2 Release Date Confirmed by Sony

Sony confirmed the release date of the PSVR 2 which was previously rumored to release in early 2023. Here’s everything we know about the highly anticipated tech piece.

The PSVR 2 will allow gamers to enjoy Sony’s phenomenal next-generation virtual reality experience. After waiting for quite some time for it, we finally have an official release date for the headset! It will come out in 2023 and you can begin pre-ordering it this month! Keep on reading to find out all the details about PSVR 2’s release date along with how to preorder it.

PSVR 2 Release Date

The upcoming PlayStation VR headset will release on February 22, 2023. It will cost $550 USD. Sony will also release a Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle that will cost $600. It will include the headset, controllers and the game.

Along with the PSVR 2, users will also need to purchase the PSVR 2 Sense controller charging station which costs an additional $50.

Buyers in the UK, US, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Netherlands can preorder the headset in a few days, on November 15. You can place an order on Sony’s online store (https://direct.playstation.com/). Registration for the preorder opened up on November 2. Thus, you can head on to the site and register for the preorder today!

Along with the PSVR 2 and charging station, you will also need to have PS5 as the headset is not a standalone device. Thus, the total costs of using it add up to $1000 exclusive of tax!

Considering the high cost, we really hope that Sony’s next-generation virtual reality experience is just as spectacular as the company claims it to be.

People living in countries other than the ones mentioned above can purchase the headset from “participating retailers” according to Sony. They can also preorder it from November 15 onwards.
