The epic space opera Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver, is around the corner to grace our screens. The sci-fi movie is similar to the Star Wars franchise.
Release Date of Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver
Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver will be exclusively available on Netflix on April 19, 2024. It is a continuation of the first installment, Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire, which came out last year. The two movies were filmed simultaneously from April to December 2022; hence, Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver is releasing soon after the Part 1 premiere.
An R-rated extended cut with behind-the-scenes film crew footage for both movies will be released later.
Initially, the first movie was meant to be a standalone action film, but Synder was able to extend the storyline. He talked about it with Netflix:
“My hopes are that because we were able to do two films, we’re able to really invest in the characters for the first film so that the audience gets to really understand why they’re fighting for the villagers of Veldt.”
Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver Storyline and Official Trailer
The plotline revolves around Kora and her warriors. She fights for the farmers on the distant moon of Veldt against the Motherworld. The official plotline for Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver reads as follows:
“REBEL MOON – PART TWO: THE SCARGIVER continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.”
Admiral Atticus Noble has consistently troubled the inhabitants of Velt. In the first movie, Kora and her covenants successfully defeat the Admiral’s Imperial legion hailing from their ship, the King’s Gaze. Kora defeats the Admiral and exiles him to the edge of Gondival, which floats above a low-orbiting moon.
In a turn of events, Admiral Atticus Noble survives in the odd atmosphere. His body is found and brought back to life through unnatural technological resurrection methods.
Kora and her team of warriors must destroy Motherworld to restore stability to their world. Noble strategically lands on an astral plane, where he meets Kora’s unnatural technological resurrection. Noble is hellbent on exacting his revenge, and Kora’s conniving father teams up with him. He sends the Admiral back to Veldt and orders him to bring Kora to Balisarius. In this journey, the fighters will discover secrets about their past lives.
