Nicki Minaj arrest left fans upset as the rapper couldn’t show up on time. She was held by the authorities on Saturday as she was travelling to Manchester from Amsterdam for her concert.
Nicki Minaj has always managed to steal the limelight, but this time it was because of her real-life personal reasons. On Saturday, the famous singer was heading on to her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour’ but was arrested by the police in the Netherlands. Minaj was going to perform at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, however she could not make it on time because of the arrest.
Reason For Nick Minaj’s Arrest
A video started circulating on the interest, which captured a man in a grey suit speaking to Nicki Minaj moments before the arrest. In the video it was pretty evident that Minaj was quite frustrated as she was being told that the police needed to search her luggage. Minaj documented this incident herself which spread like fire on social media. The man apologetically tells her that authorities do not believe her and think she has more than she mentions (weed). The authorities were suspicious of Minaj exporting soft drugs, and he was arrested at Schiphol Airport. The Dutch police later informed that a 41-year-old American woman had been arrested but allowed to continue with her tour after being fined.
It can be seen in the video that Minaj was denying any sort of accusation and spent about six to seven hours in jail before her release. This eventually delayed her arriving on time for the show, which eventually got canceled, leaving dismayed fans.

Nicki Minaj felt enraged by her arrest and reacted quickly through her posts on X. She felt upset, leaving her fans unsure about whether she could host her concert because of the arrest. Despite her attempt to make it possible, she felt disappointed the concert couldn’t be held. She expressed her anger that her tour was sabotaged by ‘big money’ paid to the authorities, and it was all planted to sabotage her tour. She also mentioned that marijuana is tolerated if it is used just for recreation. However, in truth, it cannot be taken on a plane.

Response to Fans after Nicki Minaj Arrest
Nicki Minaj was deeply hurt and sad after her arrest and took to social media how heavily she felt. She apologized to her fans and mentioned that she hoped to reschedule a new date for her concert in June and in July. She confirmed that she will perform on Thursday in Manchester and on Sunday in Birmingham.
She also mentioned that she would somehow make up for her fans who came to see her concert but missed it by not only giving them a new date but also an ‘added bonus’.
Fans Upset After Nicki Minaj Arrest
After Nicki Minaj’s arrest, her concert was called off at the last minute, leaving some of her fans distressed and many angry. Several of her fans had taken off or flown from other places just to see the rapper perform live. Some blamed the management and Minaj for being irresponsible and arriving at the last minute, while others blamed Co-op Arena for not informing earlier and cancelling the show right after Minaj’s arrest. The wait infuriated most of them.
However, some die-hard fans blamed the authorities. They bought tickets months ago not to have this result and felt empathetic towards the 41-year-old rapper.

On Sunday, May 26th, Minaj was seen in public after her arrest. She arrived in Manchester wearing a hot pink puffer. He seemed to smile slightly and is now scheduled to continue her tour in Birmingham.
