Valve has an update to the Steam Deck. And it’s progressing! After announcing a few weeks ago that the production has been doubled, there is now good news for all pre-orderers.
If you have reserved a Steam Deck, then you have an estimated delivery time in your account so far found. In the worst case, it said “fourth quarter or later” – a pretty vague statement.
Valve now has all reservations for the third and fourth quarters 2022 distributed. We would like to fulfill all previous reservations in this calendar year. “We will be able to meet the demand for Steam Decks faster than expected,” it says.

New reservations are currently being added to the fourth quarter timeframe. “We are pleased to be able to ship Steam Decks to our customers faster than expected,” they conclude.
