Gameplay Details

This game is not based on any previous film, book, or comic. It is about finding a stolen artifact from the Marshall College Museum. Indiana Jones, the protagonist, finds another puzzle named The Great Circle during the investigation. The game will put players in the shoes of an iconic hero, as first-person games allow players to play the protagonist role. It brings a different touch for every player, as their expertise levels vary.

Although the game is primarily a first-person shooter, players will get to see Jones in the third person while performing various actions, such as climbing. Nevertheless, players will get to punch, shoot, and play the iconic bullwhips as Indy. The gameplay is constructed to allow players to avoid combat if they wish and embark on a quieter path to solve the puzzle. Along with the one central puzzle, there are many secret puzzles to solve on each level. The game will also allow players to choose stealth and achieve their goals.

The storyline revolves around the puzzle, which says, “If you were to draw a line through through these ancient sites around the globe, you get a perfectly aligned circle” As the line suggests, the gameplay involves multiple locations worldwide, including Vatican City, Egypt, and the temples of Himalaya and Sukhothai. On her quest to find the artifact, Indiana Jones will meet a renowned journalist to learn more about the circle.

In addition, the investigative journalist Gina is the other main protagonist. She has her agenda at stake, and she joins Indy to get to the bottom of the mystery. Whether Gina is a playable character still needs to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the antagonist is there too. His name is Emmerich Voss, and he is “an intensely psychological man” who loves manipulating the human mind.

According to Microsoft, the game will have puzzles, combat, bullwhips, and more. The graphics look terrific and evoke nostalgia among the observers. The hues are proportionate, just enough to give the game a vintage touch.
