So what new powers and abilities will the siblings have in the upcoming sequel? Have the game developers revealed any exclusive details? Keep on reading to find out everything there is to know about Amicia and Hugo’s talents and abilities in A Plague Tale: Requiem.
A Plague Tale: Innocence Ending
By the time the first game ended, Amicia and Hugo had learned a great deal. Their cruel conditions forced them to evolve in order to survive. Amicia evolved into a fighter and killer. She is now a pro weapon user and has her very own set of weapons including a crossbow (a war weapon). On the other hand, Hugo has learned the correct usage of his extraordinary powers.
Amicia’s Abilities in A Plague Tale: Requiem
Requiem will constantly put Amicia in difficult situations. She will be forced to question her survival limits and protection instincts.
Instead of organized English soldiers, she must face violent smugglers and mercenaries. Thus, she will be put into a great dilemma; to let bits of her humanity remain or to completely give into her violent side for survival! All in all, Requiem will put players in cruel situations and really put their abilities to the test!
Moreover, you can expect to see Amicia with several upgraded weapons in the upcoming sequel including a crossbow and an upgraded sling. Additionally, Amicia will now rely on her environment for resources and use the element of surprise for taking down her enemies. From tarpots to ignitable tall grass, she’s going to use everything her surroundings have to offer for survival. She can now manipulate fire through alchemy
Furthermore, in a recently revealed trailer, we see Amicia’s friend Lucas stop her from killing soldiers several times. However, she still goes ahead and kills them with weapons or by pushing them into crows of plague infested rats! Thus, her humanity is on the verge of disappearing.
Hugo’s Abilities in A Plague Tale: Requiem
Hugo’s bloodline curse allows him to control the rats. This supernatural power, called the Prima Macula, put him in a lot of danger in the previous game where the Grand Inquisitor of France wanted to capture him for his own evil agenda.
Hugo’s power makes him extremely powerful. And as the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility. Hugo has the power to destroy whole cities and his true limits will be tested in Requiem. He can see through rats’ eyes and spot his enemies through even walls.
Moreover, Hugo can feel all the rats’ feelings which puts him in psychological distress. Thus, you must be extra cautious when using his powers to maintain his sanity.
