Star Trek Discovery Season 5 Set to Premiere with Two Episodes in April on Paramount+

When Will Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Be Released?

Star Trek Discovery Season 5 will premiere on April 4, 2024. The first two episodes will be released on Paramount+ in the U.S., the U.K., Switzerland, South Korea, Latin America, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Austria, and Canada. Star Trek Discovery was given the green light in January 2022. The forthcoming show will, however, be the series’ last season.

The 10-episode final season will begin with two episodes on the launch day, followed by weekly releases on Thursdays. Unlike the previous season, the upcoming season has reduced the number of episodes. Here are the following titles for the upcoming episodes:

Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise lead the season, serving as executive producers alongside a stellar team comprising Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth. C.B.S. Studios produces it with Secret Hideout, Roddenberry Entertainment, and co-creator Bryan Fuller.

What Will Happen in Star Trek Discovery Season 5?

The much-anticipated show released the plot for what the story will focus on this season. In the season finale, Captain Burnham and the Discovery crew stumble upon a hidden mystery that leads them on a journey across the galaxy. They’re hunting for an ancient power that’s been kept secret for ages. But they’re not alone—dangerous enemies are also after the prize, willing to do anything to get their hands on it. So get ready for adventure in Season 5, set in the 32nd century. 

The official synopsis reads:

“The fifth and final season will find Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well… dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.”
