Hogwarts Legacy released an official post on their Twitter account revealing that the game would release later than we expected. The publishers, Avalanche, and developers, Warner Bros, initially gave an estimated Holiday release date. A trailer drop in March confirmed this news initially. However, the latest Hogwarts Legacy release date is set for February 2023 now. The game was released on February 10th, 2023, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC. It would eventually release on Nintendo switch as well. However, the developers are yet to confirm the exact date of release for that. Warner Bros claims that this approximately 2-month delay in the release date came due to the team needing “a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience.”

The trailer shows goblins as the prime villains in the series. However, true Harry Potter fans know that Rowling tried to portray the Goblins as a shameless anti-Semitic representation of the Jewish people. The game portrays goblins as inferior beings in the wizarding world. These goblins showed traits that senile racist cartoons and other media platforms often associated with them. All this led to the game being put under great scrutiny.
